New Year New Plans!
Last year we achieved so much in terms of security enhancements and lowering our costs to serve our residents.
This year we have an action packed busy year where much more will be happening throughout the site:
- Cladding works will be continuing - our cladding contractors have put notice boards up throughout the site to inform people of what is happening and the dates; please take a moment to read these in reception lobbies for further information
- Stairwells - where we have concrete areas of stairwells these will have new concrete floor paint and the walls painted. This along with new lighting will make these areas easier to keep clean and feel more welcoming to residents
- Bulk Waste - in the bin store near the car park we will be putting a bulk waste area together where we can arrange for collection once a quarter. This will stop people from leaving bulk waste randomly around the site without permission
- EV Charging - The board are working with a number of contractors to look at putting in EV charging in the car park; this is still early days and we will keep you informed of this as we progress
- Lighting - We will be undertaking a review of all the lighting with a view to driving down energy costs. Today we have a system that turns off half the lights at quiet periods but are looking at implementing a microwave based system to keep all but emergency lights off until someone is in the corridor
- Elevator Refurb - We have changed service contracts which will bring savings to the development; with this in mind as the elevators are begining to get tired we are looking at what can be don in terms of refurbishment to bring these up to a better standard - more information will be published on this when available
- Door Surveys - To meet regulations we will be undertaking door surveys throughout the site to check that all doors meet current fire safety standards; we will be contacting residents prior to starting this work to gain access to apartments
This will be an exciting year where we will be focusing on improving the site to bring Jupiter 3 up to a new benchmark standard as one of the best and safest places to live in Birmingham.
